MEETINGS WITH THE SOUL
In the fall of 2022, our Center launched a series of psychological support groups called “Meetings with the Soul”. Every Saturday at 11:00 a.m. for three months, people could join free group therapy sessions online via Zoom.
Each session focused on a specific theme and aimed to help participants process their difficult feelings and emotions, make important decisions, share what was happening in their lives, and receive support from one another and our psychologists.
Twelve sessions were dedicated to supporting the overall emotional well-being of women affected by the war. In a safe space, participants could share their experiences and feelings, hopes and pains, and recount stories of their personal wartime journeys and family histories. Each session included practical exercises aimed at overcoming stress and emotional challenges, restoring strength and inner resilience, managing emotions, fostering resourceful states, and psychologically returning to life.
Among the activities were exploring the archetype of Athena within oneself (a meditative practice), reconnecting with personal goals and desires (a systemic constellation exercise), overcoming the division of life into "BEFORE" and "AFTER," and healing the fractures in the soul caused by trauma. Participants also discussed their feelings and emotions, the changes happening around them, and the transformations occurring within their inner worlds.
